Iranian Court Upholds Death Sentence For Programmer - and my other favourite links of the day

Welcome back! I imagine you've come for a look at most significant links of the day. I've found some interesting links on Microsoft, Windows Live and Apple Inc.

So, who has been discussing Microsoft? It was www.eweek.com with their post entitled Microsoft's Windows 8 on Tablets a Necessity: Analyst.

What did they point out about Microsoft? They said:
Microsoft had precious little choice when it came to importing Windows onto tablets, according to a new analyst report
and went on to say
Softening PC saleswhich translated into declining Windows revenuemeant the company needed to look at ways to extend its business model onto new, more mobile devices

Next we have a site that's been writing about Megaupload - Feds Shut Down Megaupload.com File-Sharing Website.

They said:
An indictment accuses Megaupload.com of costing copyright holders more than $500 million in lost revenue from pirated films and other content
... right ...
The indictment was unsealed one day after websites including Wikipedia and Craigslist shut down in protest of two congressional proposals intended to thwart online piracy

To finish we have Will Facebook Shopping Become Common by 2015? from www.marketingpilgrim.com, focussing on Facebook. They had some interesting points to make, particularly
Facebook shopping makes sense
and
You're on the site everyday anyway. You're already tapped into the brands you like and they're sending you coupons. So from there, it's just a click away from actually making a purchase while still inside the walls
