We'll Handle The Big G And Apple, Mr. President; You Worry About SOPA, PCFIPA, ACTA, And Big Media - plus my selection of links for the day

Welcome back! I imagine you've come for the next links roundup. I've dug up stuff on Google, Facebook and reddit.

Google
Google: also known as The Big G

.

Right, let's see who's been writing about Google? It was techcrunch.com who wrote an article called We'll Handle Google And Apple, Mr. President; You Worry About SOPA, PCFIPA, ACTA, And Big Media.

What did they say about Google? They said:
Google, Apple, Comcast, tracking cookies, deep packet inspection - this is something we can handle with minimal assistance
and went on to say
But if you'll forgive me for saying so, Mr. President, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. . Tech is a young, fast-moving field, and tends to regulate itself, perhaps because the Internet is the collective medium of billions, and tyrants don't live long here. And to be honest, laws passed by the U.S. are considered more rough guidelines, to be transgressed at will by individuals or multinationals

Next up it's a site that's been writing about Facebook - Apple Close to 25 Billionth App Download, Offers $10,000 Gift Card.

They said:
After much anticipation, Facebook for iPad launched in October
... interesting ...
The company is giving away a $10,000 gift card to spend in the App Store. Think of all the Zynga games - without the frequent pop-up ads of the free editions - you could by with that kind of money!

Lastly it's Reddit Creates The Freedom Of Internet Act from www.webpronews.com, focussing on reddit. They made a few good points, particularly
The users of Reddit are more than just Internet warriors who fought bravely against SOPA and PIPA with the legendary Net blackout of January
and
They are also amateur legislators which they have proven by writing a law of their own
