The Big G vs. Facebook: Clash of Internet Titans Likely to Follow IPO in May - with the best links of the day

So, it's time for another glance at the best of the web. I've dug up stuff on Facebook, Bing and Google.

Right, who's been writing about Facebook? It was www.eweek.com with their post entitled Google vs. Facebook: Clash of Internet Titans Likely to Follow IPO in May.

What did they point out about Facebook? They said:
Google vs. Facebook: Clash of Internet Titans Likely to Follow IPO in May (Page 1 of 2 ) Google and Facebook have been hiking on remarkably parallel paths
and went on to say
Google raised $1.7 billion (and earned a $23 billion valuation) with its initial public offering in August 2004, when it was 8 years old. Facebook, born in 2004, will make that dollar amount and a lot more in May when it, too, goes public at age 8

Next it's a site that's also been talking about Facebook - Facebook Testing New Self-Service Ad Features, Revamping Check-in Numbers.

They wrote:
Facebook is running a small test that's aimed at improving its Marketplace Ads self-service platform
... sounds interesting ...
"We've heard from self-service advertisers that they want more guidance on how to optimize their campaigns based on their marketing goals," Facebook rep Annie Ta told ClickZ News. "For example, some advertisers may want to get more app installs while others may be more interested in likes. As a result, we're testing out a new design and set of features in the self-service ads creation tool."

Last but not least we have Bing Webmaster Tools Explained from www.webpronews.com, focussing on Bing. They made a number of good points, particularly
Microsoft is pretty serious about Bing and competing with Google
and
They are now the second most used search engine so they better step up their game to keep growing their audience. Of course, with more users comes more people who don't know how to use Bing specific tools. Microsoft has put together a short list that you may want to check out
