2012 Oscar Predictions From The Big G & Yahoo - plus my selection of links for the day

Google
Google: also known as The Big G

.

I've been warming up for yet another glace through the best of the web. I've found some interesting links on Google, Starbucks and Digital Manga

First things first, who's been writing about Google? It was searchenginewatch.com who wrote an article called 2012 Oscar Predictions From Google & Yahoo.

What did they say about Google? They said:
Google predicts Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close might be the underdog winner for best picture, but Yahoo backs War Horse as best picture based on search trends
and went on to say
Who will take home the Oscar at the 84th Annual Academy Awards tonight?

Next we have a site that's been writing about Starbucks - Merchants Accepting Square's Card Case Doubles In Four Months To 40,000.

They wrote:
Starbucks now allows you to pay for items via their mobile apps, which is similar to the experience of paying via Card Case
... right ...
Basically, Square is tackling the entire spectrum of the payments experience, and it appears that data and personalization will be a big part of helping take this to the next level. That's not to say that other payments companies and even merchants aren't trying to solve this problem for merchants as well. . There are a number of startups such as Belly, Chatterfly, PunchTab and others trying to disrupt traditional loyalty programs for merchants and consumers. SCVGR spin-off LevelUp is also creating a payments and loyalty roll-up for businesses

Finally it's Adobe Touts Digital Publishing Momentum from www.eweek.com, focussing on Digital Publishing. They made some good points, particularly
Adobe announced that its Digital Media push is paying off with serious momentum in its digital publishing products, additional HTML5 support, enhanced video and developer tools support
and
At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012, Adobe Systems announced that more than 16 million digital publications were powered by Adobe Digital Publishing Suite across tablets over the last year. The company also released key information about digital magazine and newspaper application usage, based on anonymous data aggregated from nearly 600 publishers worldwide who have created around 1,500 tablet publications using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite.
